The Farr West Engineering survey department field and office crews worked closely together to complete public and private boundary surveys, topography, and construction management tasks. This project included installation of roughly eight miles of water and sewer pipeline, including appurtenance installations and easement creation to fit project needs.

Farr West’s personnel conducted research for real property to compile and resolve parcel boundaries and related easements that were critical in placing public utilities around existing non-public easements by means of vesting deeds, easement deeds from Lyon County records and preliminary title reports. Farr West’s field efforts were to recover boundary corners with this preliminary data so a boundary determination could be made to provide the engineers with a clean parcel drawing for design efforts. Our survey team also assisted in providing supplemental topographic drawings from field data.

Construction data and field staking has been a large task for the survey department. Office and field efforts are accomplished with regular subconsultant correspondence to ensure construction timelines are met.
