Applicants should have 5-10 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering and be a licensed civil engineer. Prior employment with a civil engineering firm that specializes in roadway engineering, highways/bridges, or utilities such as water and wastewater projects is preferred. Applicants should have previous experience with designing county roadways, NDOT roadways, transportation, community water and sewer systems, pump stations, and water and wastewater treatment facilities. Experience with pavement management, permitting, grading and drainage, utility master planning and utility hydraulic modeling is also preferred.
Duties will include working on multiple projects, design, bidding, and construction management of public works projects involving roadways, water and wastewater facilities, and possible project management. Duties may also include supervision and mentoring of other engineers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
