    Project Description:
    The Project consists of the placing of approximately 20,500 square yards of double chip on Martin Lane, Prospector Road, and Julie Way, 4,700 square yards of full roadway reconstruction on Tom Sawyer Road and 3,800 square yards of either double chip or full roadway reconstruction on Mary Lane Road in Mark Twain Estates.  The Engineer’s opinion of probable cost for this project is $500,000.  Construction is anticipated to commence in late September/early October after the project award on September 19, 2017.

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lyon County Utilities, as Owner, invites and will receive sealed proposals (bids), including any and all addenda, in a sealed envelope addressed and delivered to:

    Lyon County Utilities – Rolling ‘A’ WWTF Solids Handling Facility Project

    Bids will be accepted up to 2:00 p.m. on Wed. Sept. 6, 2017.  Bids will be subsequently opened and read aloud publicly at the Lyon County Utilities Conference Room at 34 Lakes Blvd, Dayton, NV.

    The project consists of constructing a 2,400-square foot pre-fabricated metal building to house a skid-mounted screw press assembly for dewatering sludge. The contractor will be responsible for off-loading and plumbing the screw press equipment inside the building. Other project elements include site grading, extending civil and electrical utilities, and a reinforced concrete Equalization Basin.

    Cost of this project is estimated to be $1,300,000. Construction is to commence in Nov. 2017 and be completed in May 2018.

    A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 23, 2017 at the Rolling ‘A’ WWTF, on 1165 Ferretto Lane in Dayton, Nevada.  Contract Documents may be examined, downloaded, and printed (at contractor’s expense) online via the Farr West Engineering Bid Room (http://www.farrwestengineering.com/bidroom.html).  All bidders must register as a plan holder in the Bid Room to receive amendments and updates for the project.
